Aesthetic 1D-Index
The number, size and percentage of different features of a visual landscape
unit is a common index that can be used to describe a landscape character
by means of alphanumeric GIS-Data. We calculated the numbers for the forests
of the northern and southern part of test site Burggen North and South
(see ../report98/burgmap.gif).
